Following the directions towards Terni, immediately after the city you will find the amazing Marmore Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Europe with their 165 metres and 3 consecutive jumps.<0}
We also suggest to go sightseeing in Narni, a near village with the interesting underground site of the Saint Dominic’s convent and the annexed proto-Romanesque church with its frescos dating back to the 13th and 15th centuries. The ruins of a Roman cistern and a cell with its graffiti made by the prisoners sentenced by the Inquisition Tribunal. You can also visit the basement of the Saint Mary Impensole’s church with a nave and two aisles dating back to the 8th century. The church was built on the ruins of an ancient Roman temple transformed into a crypt in the 12th century. Two Roman cisterns are still well-preserved in it. Every year, on 3rd May, the Saint Giovenale’s Day, an historical race called “Corsa all’Anello” takes place at the city stadium.The day before the race the beautiful Historical procession takes place in the main streets of the city.
In the neighbourhood you can visit some cultural cities such as Orvieto, Todi and Spoleto with its prestigious cultural appointment with the “Festival dei Due Mondi”.
